King Creosote Stables Tues 20th May Date: Tue 20 May 2008, 8:00pm Price: £12.50 Venue: Jim Marshall Auditorium Kenny Anderson, the musical brains behind King Creosote and Fife's awesome Fence Collective movement (www.fencerecords.com), has honed his craft over the past twenty years with 600 songs and 24 albums. From his first band Skuobhie Dubh (which featured one KT Tunstall on backing vocals) he has never stopped expanding his musical horizons, from lovelorn alt folk troubadour to canny indie rocker. On the 20th May he'll be joining us here at The Stables, touring his new album Bombshell. Bombshell defies all easy definitions as it fuses rock with ambient with lo-fi, all with a traditional folk influence. The Mail on Sunday said it was "Remarkable... a must-have album" - and who are we mere mortals to question the might of the Mail?? You can find out more at www.kingcreosote.com. He's happy to do interviews, so it would be great to set up a bit of coverage for this lovely man - please drop me a line if you're interested. Buy King Creosote albums at CD WOW!
